This preparation is a sterile gel that replaces tear fluid and is used for dry eyes or when the surface of the eye is insufficiently or not sufficiently hydrated.
The active substance is called carbomer.
If the surface of the eye is not or not sufficiently moistened, the tear film does not sufficiently wet the surface of the eye. Blinking can cause eye irritation. A lack of mucin is often the cause. This creates a special form of dry eye that paradoxically can water.
The eye gel forms a moisturizing film on the surface of the eye and allows irritation-free gliding when blinking. The surface of the eye is protected from drying out.
Eye gel can be used by the ophthalmologist during a fundus contact glass examination. To do this, the ophthalmologist drips a few drops onto the contact glass and places it on the cornea and conjunctiva after anesthesia.
Always use the preparation exactly as directed. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is one drop in the conjunctival sac 4 times a day or as needed.
The drug is suitable for long-term use.
For use during a contact glass examination, which is performed by the doctor, a few drops are dripped into the tactile part of the contact glass and this is placed on the cornea and conjunctiva after anesthesia.
Application duration:
In the treatment of dry eye, the duration of use depends on the condition of the disease. Please ask your doctor about this.
If you use more than you should,
rinse the eye with warm water. No side effects are expected. Do not add more drops until the next scheduled use.
If you forget to use it,
