This medicine has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. Contains sodium cromoglicate, a
antiallergic prophylactic agent and a mast cell stabilizer.
The preparation is used for:
– Food allergies that cannot
be treated by avoiding the triggering food (allergen avoidance).
Note: This medicine is not suitable
for the treatment of acute asthma or other attacks
symptoms caused by a food allergy.
If in the past
had a life-threatening allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) after eating food, you should definitely avoid eating the food in question while taking these capsules.
This medicine should not be used in case of
hypersensitivity (allergy) to sodium cromoglicate or to any of the other components of the medicine.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and young people aged 15 years and over take 2 capsules four times a day (corresponding to a total of 800 mg of sodium cromoglicate). Children between the ages of two and fourteen receive one capsule four times a day (corresponding to a total of 400 mg of sodium cromoglicate). For infants and young children aged between two months and two years, the daily dose is 20-40 mg/kg body weight.
If possible, it should be administered in four equal doses before each meal.
For this purpose it may be necessary to divide the contents of a capsule into several doses.
During pregnancy:
there is no evidence of a teratogenic effect of the capsules either from animal studies or from previous experience with humans.
However, for general reasons, you should use the medicine during pregnancy only
if your doctor deems it necessary.
During breastfeeding:
The active ingredient of this preparation passes into breast milk in small quantities. Therefore, you should only use the capsules during breastfeeding if your doctor deems it necessary.
