Tapeworms for use in dogs and cats.
Application:
Treating Tapeworm Infection in Dogs and Cats
Against mature and immature intestinal phases of Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia ovis, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia hydatigena, multiceps multiceps, Mesocestoides spp., Taeniaeformis Hydatigera (Taenia).
Application / dosage:
Insertion tablets.
5 mg praziquantel per kg of body weight; corresponding to 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight.
If necessary, the tablet should be crushed accordingly.
The result is the following dosage regimen:
Dog / Cat KGW Droncit
Small up to 2.5kg of 1/4 TBL.
2.6 to 5 kg 1/2 tbl.
5.1 to 10 kg 1 tbl.

Medium sized 20.1 – 30kg 3 TBL.
30.1 – 40 kg 4 TBL

large 40.1 kg 5 TBL.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, a single dose of Droncit is enough.
The tablets are taken directly or wrapped in meat or sausage or cut into pieces with food.
Dietary measures or fasting are not necessary.
Overdose:
Doses up to ten times (50 mg/kg body weight) are generally tolerated without symptoms.
Higher doses may cause vomiting.

Active ingredient: 50 mg Praziquantel
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, povidone K 25, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulphate.
Note:
In hydatid disease the necessary checks and follow-up protection personnel are regarding the treatment of specific guidelines. For this purpose, veterinarians or specialized parasitology institutes should be consulted.
