Astaxanthin is a carotenoid formed by unicellular green algae of the genus Haematococcus pluvialis (blood rain algae) for their own protection. Carotenoids are natural, fat-soluble dyes that produce yellow to reddish color and can only be synthesized by bacteria, algae, plants, and fungi.

Recommended dosage:
Adults: 1 x 1 capsule daily with liquid

Description of raw materials:
The high quality raw material is obtained from the astaxanthin-producing algae Haematococcus pluvialis by digesting the cells and then spray drying. The algae are grown under controlled conditions in closed systems. The gelatin used in the hard gelatin capsules is BSE/TSE approved pharmaceutical gelatin.
